A coach is trained to help find solutions to make both your work and personal life more complete and balanced. A career coach, like a sports coach or music teacher, challenges you to more clearly define what winning in life means and having the courage to meet those challenges.
You can achieve:

More confident career decisions |
| |
Strength to face and deal with outplacement or other personal challenges in uncertain economic times |
| |
Better balance between family and work |
| |
Motivation to advance a career to the next level |
| |
An improved current job situation or the confidence to make a job transition |
| |
Motivation to proactively design or redesign your professional or academic life |
| |
Insight to better understand your potential to seek the right career |
| |
Strength and courage to take charge |
| |
Increased potential for career growth and future earning power |

How does coaching work?
Coaching tends to be short-term and goal focused (three to six months). A highly trained career coach works with clients on an individual basis, either on the phone or in person. Weekly sessions keep the process moving and the individual on track, recognizing progress and clarifying the next steps.
The coach:
| |
Asks questions to make you think |
| |
Helps set practical, achievable goals |
| |
Provides clarity and focus on goals, aspirations and ambitions |
| |
Challenges you to go for the gold |
| |
Welcomes and reinforces success |
Why hire a coach?
Gone are the days when only top ranked athletes and CEO's hired personal coaches! Now anyone can have this incredible secret weapon for personal success. A coach is your counselor and partner in going after the life you know you want and can accomplish, personally and professionally. A coach helps you hold yourself accountable for your life, to make sure you sincerely strive to achieve your potential. Managers, technology and non-technology professionals and administrative personnel can benefit through the objective counseling a professionally trained coach offers.
A coach helps the client:
| |
To think "outside the box" in order to create real answers |
| |
To look honestly and objectively at how you are responsible for many circumstances in your life |
| |
To work with the coach to identify obstructions to success |
| |
To focus on a meaningful career or educational plan |
| |
To help determine innovative ways to build a business or career |
| |
To assist people with disabilities to strategically deal with workplace issues while meeting their individual health care needs |
 |
