Morgan Covino is the Practicum Clinician at Gateway to Solutions. She is continuing her Master’s education in the ever-expanding field of psychological research that helps people live more fulfilling lives. Morgan wholeheartedly believes in the transformative power of evidence-based therapeutic practice and integrates these approaches with deep empathy.

Morgan seeks to understand the person in front of her, how they came to be themselves, and what their hopes are for who they will become. Morgan asks, What challenges are in your path?, blending person-centered and sociocultural approaches to understand life’s unique and compounding pressures. Integrating theoretical modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and skills-based tools from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Morgan and her clients co-create a new path forward.

Morgan explores the unique barriers people face and finds creative ways to help folks navigate their challenges. Morgan supports clients in building emotional resilience through adaptive meaning-making, using coping techniques tailored to their needs and skills, and interrupting maladaptive patterns with personally significant grounding techniques. She engages clients in early exploration to discover what matters most to them and weaves their individuality throughout skills-based approaches.

Her clinical style balances compassion with accountability, creating a space where you are unconditionally accepted for how you show up and encouraged to continue growing. Morgan works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and relational conflicts. As a queer clinician, she provides an affirming space for LGBTQ+ clients to explore themes of sexuality, intimacy, gender, and identity.

As the Practicum Clinician at Gateway to Solutions, Morgan is accruing her clinical hours toward becoming an Associate Therapist.
