Aveen Hallissey, MHC-LP
Associate Therapist
Many clients come to therapy aware that something isn’t working—but unsure of what needs to change. Aveen Hallissey focuses on helping clients identify the underlying patterns driving their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and translating that insight into meaningful, measurable change.
She works with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Aveen’s approach is both analytical and practical—helping clients recognize recurring dynamics, understand their internal responses, and develop more effective ways of navigating daily life and interpersonal relationships.
Aveen brings a strong foundation in communication, critical thinking, and relationship-building, allowing her to engage clients in a way that is both direct and attuned. She earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from New York University, where her training emphasized evidence-based treatment, clinical application, and culturally responsive care.
Her professional experience also reflects a high level of initiative and leadership, including founding a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing essential resources to underserved communities. This work informs her broader perspective on how individual challenges intersect with larger systems and environments.
Aveen’s style is focused, engaged, and results-oriented. She works best with clients who are ready to think more deeply about themselves, challenge long-standing patterns, and actively participate in the process of change.
